Reg: New Challans (ITNS 283) w.e.f July 2005, for payment of Direct taxes under OLTAS.

With reference to our letter dated 6^th July 2005 on the captioned subject.

In view of the instructions of Income Tax department, Govt. of India, you are requested to update the OLTAS software and circulate the new challans to all the authorised branches for OLTAS under your jurisdiction to familiarize with the new challans and the changes in Major & Minor head codes immediately. The procedure as follows: -

Procedure –I

Log in to our corporate website i.e www. pnbindia.com

Click the link Services – Online tax accounting system – OLTAS exe’s – download the exe’s and copy the two files in to the system in the patch C:\Govtbus \exe

Procedure – II

Download the dtax.exe, dated 13-07-2005, dtx_deal.dll dated 10-07-2005 from yahoo briefcase.

Copy the dtax.exe dated 13-07-2005 and dtx_deal.dll dated 10-07-2005 (files are lying in the folder innovaexe in yahoo briefcase) to the folder C:\Govtbus\exe.

After having downloaded the above files through procedure – I or procedure II

Run the batch file dtx.bat file (Which is available in the existing system at C:\Govtbus\exe folder for registering the registry values of the aforesaid dll).

Open the dtax.exe - Menu maintenance – open new document icon for initiating the changes in the tables.

Close the dtax.exe for effecting changes and restart the dtax.exe for general transactions including new challans..

** After day end & before day open of dtax.exe carry out the following functions:
