Recurring Mandates

I. About BHIM PNB AutoPay/Recurring Mandates

We often have a need to make a recurring payment such as utility bill payments, payment for insurance, Systematic investment Plans or OTT subscriptions. Now, you do not need to remember the due dates for payments. Just create a UPI AutoPay/Recurring Mandate for a seamless experience.

II. How to Use the BHIM PNB AutoPay Functionality?

The mandate creation is a one-time activity. It allows the customer’s account to be debited as per agreed terms & conditions without additional factor of authentication.

  • Visit the merchant site -> Checkout -> Choose to set the recurring mandate/enable AutoPay.
  • Enter your BHIM PNB (@pnb) virtual address.
  • You will receive a notification on your BHIM PNB app
  • Login to BHIM PNB app. Visit UPI Mandate -> Request Received to view the details
  • Verify the key details – Name of the beneficiary, amount, duration, frequency (One-time, Daily, Weekly, Fortnightly. Monthly, Bi-Annually, Annually or As Presented).
  • Enter your UPI Pin to authenticate
  • Mandate is created successfully.

At the defined date and frequency, the amount up to Rs. 15,000/- will be debited automatically without Additional Factor of Authentication. On the due date, please ensure to keep sufficient funds in your accounts to avoid failure.

You can check the status of Active Mandates by visiting the My Mandates section on your BHIM PNB app. You can choose to modify/ revoke (cancel) the mandate as per your needs. To modify/revoke the mandate choose the appropriate action and authenticate with your UPI Pin.

What is AutoPay/ Recurring Mandates?

BHIM PNB AutoPay/ Recurring Mandates functionality enables you to set mandates for recurring payments such as bill payments/Insurance Payments/ SIPs/OTT subscriptions.

You can create the mandate by completing one time authentication mechanism and at the set dates/frequency, the mandate will be automatically executed.

How to Create an AutoPay Mandate?

1. Visit the merchant site -> Checkout -> Choose to set the recurring mandate/enable AutoPay.

2. Enter your BHIM PNB (@pnb) virtual address.

3. You will receive a notification on your BHIM PNB app

4. Login to BHIM PNB app. Visit UPI Mandate -> Request Received to view the details

5. Verify the key details – Name of the beneficiary, amount, duration, frequency (One-time, Daily, Weekly, Fortnightly. Monthly, Bi-Annually, Annually or As Presented).

6. Enter your UPI Pin to authenticate

7. Mandate is created successfully.

Where can I view the details of the mandates created by me?

You can visit BHIM PNB ->UPI Mandate -> My Mandates section to view the details of the mandates

I have created a Mandate which I need to modify

Visit BHIM PNB ->UPI Mandate -> My Mandates section. Click on the mandate you wish to modify, update the details you wish to modify and authenticate with your UPI Pin to proceed further.

I have created a Mandate which I need to cancel/revoke

Visit BHIM PNB ->UPI Mandate -> My Mandates section. Click on the mandate you wish to revoke and authenticate with your UPI Pin to proceed further. Mandate once revoked, cannot be resumed

What is Scan & Setup?

You can also choose to create a mandate by scanning the QR of the merchants (If made available by the merchants).

How will mandate be executed?

I have not created the mandate and yet a mandate is created from my account?

In case of unauthorized mandates through PNB account linked on any UPI enabled app, please block UPI through following channels:

  • Branch
  • Call centre
  • Forwarding debit SMS to 92640 92640
  • Internet Banking
  • PNB one

I am facing issues while creating the mandate

On the due date, mandate has been successfully executed and my account has been debited but status has not been updated on the merchant.

In unfortunate circumstances, it may happen. Please don’t worry, the same will be updated to the merchant on the next working day.
